Mega.co.nz: Another disappointing development in the support of creative industries. I am all for the development of the digital enterprise, society and markets but I am with the view of South Pacific Pictures chief executive John Barnett who says :  “the site will undermine New Zealand’s creative industries and encourage piracy. Mr Barnett said he has seen nothing to suggest the new site will be any better for those who own content that may be illegally shared (Radio NZ, 21 January, 2013).”

I would like Kim Dotcom to first address the legal questions he faces in the US before he proceeds with further related businesses. Further, this site will help to protect the hidden economy which is contrary to the freedoms often espoused by Kim Dotcom.

The reality is: why is this being done? Not freedom but rather: $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
